The Barb Horse

This horse from Maghreb has been bred from antiquity for hunting, fighting, parading and working.

For generations, its morphology has varied according to the place this horse has evolved (either in coastal, mountainous, High Plateaux regions or on the border of  Southern deserted areas). Traditional companion of nomadic breeders from the Atlas Mountains and the High Plateaux region, the Barb Horse is a remarkable riding horse, docile but also hardy, it excels in stamina.

Even if the Barb Horse is still closely associated to cultural activities (Fantasia) in North-Africa, his qualities make him the best horse for numerous modern athletic activities  such as dressage, endurance, polo, pony trekking, shows and show jumping. The Barb Horse is the horse for families willing to have an athletic and gregarious horse, 2 qualities hard to find in other horse breeds.
